A Valentine’s Day micro-site was the first of several planned for Finnies the Jeweller that link the business with propitious dates in the calendar for purchasing jewellery. Using the client database, it formed the basis of an e-marketing campaign that linked to the main website to encourage e-commerce. The micro-site itself was an entertaining mix of fun ‘dos’ and ‘don’ts’ for Valentine’s Day, with ‘him’ and ‘her’ gift ideas that linked directly to the items on Finnies’ website. It also encouraged customer participation by requesting customers to share their Valentine’s stories via social media – an idea that prompted a huge response.
